A SHORT HISTORY OF ELFWISH
     Many years ago a Siberian Husky breeder (Donna) sold a rather obnoxious puppy to a Siberian fancier (Sandy), and in return, Sandy sent the Siberian back to his breeder to be shown! From that auspicious beginning, a friendship was born. A mutual friend bred Pembrokes, and Sandy, growing tired of large dogs, bought a Pem. About the same time, Donna, who, by the way, thought corgis were odd little dogs, was given a Pem. As fate would have it, a lovely bitch puppy was born, and rather than fight over who was going to buy her, Donna and Sandy joined forces and Elfwish was born. That bitch puppy became Ch Lonikii's Domino Intowishin ("Wishin), the foundation bitch of Elfwish Corgis.

     During the past 15 years Elfwish has finished 37 champions, the most famous being Ch Elfwish Lyleth. Lyleth (pronounced Lilleth) was the top Pembroke bitch in the country in 1994 and has continued her winning ways in the whelping box, having produced four champion daughters in two litters.

RECENT CHAMPIONS!

JASMINE     Jasmine, although shown sparingly, has 4 Group 1's to her credit in 1997. At the 1996 and 1997 PWCCA National specialties, Jasmine was awarded a Selection of Merit each year.

GINGER     Ginger has gone to four specialties and earned a Best of Opposite Sex under noted Breeder Judge Janice Edwards, and three Selections of Merit.

The newest "Lyleth kids" are appearing in Michigan (Diamond Lil-with Marlene Rosenberg), Texas (Designated Hitter-with Mary Ann Parker), and Ohio (Abner Doubleplay-with Donna and Sandy).
